Dr. Chris Wang
Born and raised in Chengdu, China — home of the adorable giant pandas — Dr. Chris Sheng Wang brings a mix of scientific precision and playful charm to our practice. With a DDS, orthodontic residency, and a Ph.D. from Sichuan University, China’s first dental school, he’s got more credentials than you can shake a toothbrush at.
Dr. Wang took his talents across the globe to The Ohio State University (OSU), where he earned his certificate of specialization and a Master of Science degree in orthodontics. At OSU, he was not just a student but a smile-sculpting, award-winning machine! His accolades include top honors like the Dr. William R. Proffit Research Award, the prestigious Harry Sicher Award, and the IADR Award for Student Excellence in Orthodontics. Dr. Wang doesn’t just straighten teeth; he raises the bar. He is also part of the Dean’s faculty at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, the first dental school in the world.
When Dr. Wang isn’t perfecting smiles, he’s exploring the globe with a pair of hiking boots and a camera. Traveling from Patagonia to the Rocky Mountains and even skydiving in Queenstown, he’s a true adventurer. Back home, he loves spending time with family and friends, discovering new eateries and coffee spots, hitting the golf course, and keeping fit.
Dr. Wang is thrilled to bring his expertise and passion to the wonderful communities of Portage and Kalamazoo. Brace yourself (pun intended) for a smile journey like no other!
